The Worlds - Port Jefferson Raceway - May 18th. - 23rd. 2004
Again bad luck on the Worlds. After successful Warm
up (finished 3rd. with 1091laps) behind Chicky and Horky I can't race
in G27 Light, because this class should be only for beginners.
For the G27 Pro I build new 10 and 8 mag Setups with
Koford CNC cans and “Greg look” car. This means shortened Beuf Express
chassis, Z 28 low cut body. The car wasn't faster but very hard to
drive. In February on Burn Burner I used “classic” car with good
handling. I finished in middle field in the Qualifying, second move up
from my quarter group and here I tried Koford X tires on middle lanes.
In the warm up before my semi group some car fell out in the
banking and I hit it. My car was bended. I repaired it, but it didn't
handle well anymore. I had to give up the race.
Bad qualifying in G7 race. The first quali run I
used PK 53- in six mags. The motor run perfect the first banking but
slowed down in the counting lap. Only 1,711. For the second run we
try to cold the motor before the run. No power on it... Bad
qualifying resulted to low position by lane choice. I started on the
green lane (finishing on the red). No problems in quarter’s heats. I
lead my group after 7 heats ahead MSP and was 20 laps ahead of 5th
position. But after my fault and fall out in the donut my gear was
broken and till we change it, I was out of the race. But next time...
